Retail Store Manager
Location: Brentwood based
Salary: £38K to £44K, DOE
Contract: Full Time, Permanent

We are looking for a Retail Store Manager to join us in Essex!
You will manage the operation of the store efficiently and effectively with the objective of maximising store profitability and in accordance with the Co-operative's policies and rules.
Retail Store Manager - Key Responsibilities:
1. Maintain appropriate levels of stock availability to customers
2. Implement effective stock and order procedures to maximise sales within agreed stockholding targets
3. Maintain stock ranges and ensure merchandise is well presented with effective promotional material display
4. Minimise stock losses through effective in-store stock control
5. Record and report all known losses such as wastage, freezer breakdowns, burglary, and theft
6. Conduct regular stock takes efficiently, monitoring stock levels and losses
7. Maintain the security of the store, its contents, and staff in accordance with the Food Store Policy & Procedures Manual
8. Ensure effective cash, banking, and till controls
9. Maintain a high level of cleanliness and presentation in the store
10. Identify and communicate required remedial and maintenance work
11. Participate in the recruitment and selection of store supervisors and assistants
12. Conduct effective induction processes for new supervisors and general assistants
13. Train all store staff to an acceptable level in all store procedures
14. Identify training and development needs for off-site training
15. Ensure compliance with Co-operative policies and procedures, undertaking disciplinary action where required
16. Manage staffing levels during hours of occupancy
17. Record staff holidays, hours of work, and sickness accurately for payroll
18. Promote effective customer service
19. Ensure compliance with all legal requirements including Health & Safety Practices, Fire Precautions, Food Hygiene Controls, and licensing Laws
20. Operate within agreed budgetary constraints and meet turnover and profitability levels
21. Abide by and carry out the Co-operative's Health & Safety policy
22. Abide by and carry out the Co-operative's Employment Policy
23. Carry out other duties as required by the business from time to time
Retail Store Manager - What we need from you:
We are looking for an experienced Manager with previous experience in Convenience Retail.
Essential:
* Driving Licence
* Retail Management Experience
Desirable:
* Personal Alcohol Licence
* Stock Control experience
* Food Waste Control experience
