B2 Base Engineer - Part Time This is a shift based role 7:00 - 19:00 2 days on, 6 days off We are seeking a skilled B2 Base Engineer to join our team. This role involves performing aircraft maintenance tasks in accordance with company quality and regulatory airworthiness standards. You will work closely with the Shift Manager to ensure that our operational service meets all customer contractual requirements. Ensure that all technical staff under your supervision perform their duties safely and correctly, following approved documentation. Manage documentation for aircraft under your control, ensuring all required certification entries are promptly and accurately recorded. Maintain control of any materials or company equipment provided for tasks and ensure the cleanliness of the working environment. Encourage and motivate staff, promoting open reporting within a just culture. Liaise with Technical Services and Planning Engineers to discuss technical issues and schedules. Support and monitor the health, safety, and environmental requirements for all staff. Report all safety and disciplinary matters to the Line Manager. Deputise for Senior Engineers during periods of absence. Skills, Knowledge & Expertise CAA B2 license with A330 Type Rating and Company Authorisation. Proven ability to certify maintenance in a Base Maintenance facility. Understanding of the demands of operating and organising a team within a zonal working structure. Proficiency in using industry-standard data sets for technical information and man-hour recording. Ability to take full ownership of delivering objectives within set timescales. Experience and insight into wiring repair and modification. Experience in liaising and communicating with internal and external agencies. Good understanding of personnel development and mentoring. Experience with short-notice AOG recoveries from deployed locations.
