Job Title: Senior Financial Accountant

We are looking for a Senior Financial Accountant to join the team and support in the preparation and control of accounting records, contribute to the team vision and purpose and be a recognised SME on relevant processes and elements of the ledgers in order to share knowledge.
About the role
What will you be doing?
* Financial Reporting - Undertake (and where appropriate review) more complex accounting tasks which contribute to the maintenance of general ledger.
* Reconciliations - Undertake and develop more complex reconciliations to support the integrity of the general ledger.
* Review and provide feedback on reconciliations/analysis.
* Investigate and clear outstanding reconciliation items.
* Data Analysis - Produce and where appropriate review complex data analysis in order to support the integrity of the financial records or supplementary reporting requirements.
* Coordinate data planning; sourcing; collection; processing; cleansing; analysing and reporting as required.
* Perform an SME role and act as a single point of contact for projects.
* Lead on smaller scale projects; plan effectively for the team across operational and new change initiatives, demonstrating an understanding of differing methodologies and how these can be best applied across the team
About you
What will you bring to the role?
* People Leader experience would be beneficial as this role will have direct reports .
* Demonstrate a strong understanding of more complex accounting principles.
* Own ad hoc tasks involving complex analysis and investigation as required, including high profile outputs and presentations of the data.
* Design and embed new processes into BAU
* Experience with Financial Systems and Microsoft programs.
* Liaise with both internal and external stakeholders where applicable.
* Have the ability to articulate and explain the analysis to senior stakeholders
* Accountancy qualification or qualified by experience is required.
