The Operational Estates Manager is responsible for delivering a safe, efficient and effective maintenance service, and for the management of the Estates Department's building and engineering direct labour workforce. He/She must ensure that engineering and building activities are compliant with statutory legislation, Health Technical Memorandums (HTMs) and other relevant codes of practice. We are looking for someone who has a strong track record of managing and delivering a customer focused Estates service at a similar level in a highly complex environment, preferably in healthcare. We need a Senior Manager who will lead a team where the quality of service, strong financial management and statutory compliance are the key drivers within all areas of the service. This is a key role within our operational team, and we are keen to recruit motivated individual who will help us to provide the levels of service that we continually strive to provide to our patients and clinical colleagues. As a senior manager he/she will assist in the production and delivery of the organisation's estates operational plans and will provide operational support in the delivery of capital projects. He/She will provide line management accountability for associated multi-skilled staff and will ensure appropriate financial, workforce and performance management arrangements are in place.
