We're currently working with a manufacturer in Tredegar who are recruiting a skilled maintenance individual. Candidates with injection moulding or automotive manufacturing experience are of great interest to them!
The shift pattern is Mon to Thurs 6.30am – 2.30pm and Friday 6.30am – 2.00pm.
The Role
As part of a core maintenance team, you will respond to and resolve equipment breakdowns, carry out planned preventative maintenance, and implement improvement schemes on equipment.
Duties:
* Work as part of a 2-man team, carrying out tasks unsupervised and resolving all equipment breakdowns.
* Complete improvement tasks and planned maintenance when not addressing breakdowns.
* Support the Maintenance Foreman in achieving all maintenance tasks.
* Utilize good electrical and mechanical skills to tackle breakdowns, proactive maintenance, preventative maintenance, and improvements.
* Familiarity with fault finding in panels, inverters, motors, switchgear, installation work, and P.L.Cs (Siemens S5 & S7).
* Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, fabrication, welding, press, and injection moulding is beneficial but not essential.
The Person
* Must have undertaken a 4-year indentured apprenticeship.
* City & Guilds or O.N.C in mechanical or electrical engineering is a benefit.
* Experience working in a manufacturing environment will be an advantage.
* Understanding of HSE Policies.
* Proficient in problem-solving techniques.
