We are an exciting and growing signage and display manufacturer looking for a Factory Foreman to oversee operations within our Graphics, Final Assembly, Powder Coating and Wet Spraying Departments. You will be responsible for planning, directing and coordinating activities in the above-mentioned manufacturing departments, managing your own time - and that of others - to ensure that quotas and other requirements are met. You will be responsible for motivating, developing, and leading colleagues and subordinates, whilst maintaining a clean, tidy, efficient, and safe environment. The role will require you to coordinate maintenance and repair schedules for machines, as well as help build staff knowledge on the operation of these machines.
Previous experience in signage production is essential with excellent knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques expected in this position. You will ensure manufacturing and distribution of goods are efficient in accordance with company goals and generally accepted industry standards.
You will use knowledge of company principles and processing methods to maintain cohesive production processes and techniques. Effective critical thinking, logic and reasoning must also be displayed to identify staff strengths and weaknesses and approach potential personnel issues.

Experience/Skills & Responsibilities
1. The ability to lead and motivate a team of people.
2. A positive can-do attitude towards challenges and obstacles, reporting to the Production Manager.
3. A desire to develop those around you, including conducting annual appraisals with the Production Manager and ensuring training needs are met.
4. An excellent ability to problem solve.
5. Previous experience in a signage environment with a good technical knowledge of Graphics, Signage Final Assembly, Powder Coating and Wet Spraying processes.
6. Responsibility for overall quality within the departments.
7. An understanding of health and safety requirements and processes, including implementing Safe Systems of Work, Risk Assessments and COSHH Assessments.
8. A tidy and organised approach to work.
9. A reasonable knowledge of IT software such as Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
10. Be able to follow processes implemented by the company.
