We have an immediate requirement for a CNC Setter/Operator with a strong background in component / Mechanical manufacturing.
If you are or have been working in a component engineering business and are now seeking an opportunity to further develop your skills and experience to become a CNC Programmer/Setter/Operator, this is for you.
Duties will include:
1. Setting up and ensuring the relevant program is ready to run on either a CNC lathe or VMC.
2. CNC Turning.
3. Operating both Lathes and Milling Machines.
4. Running machines concurrently.
5. Ensuring components are produced to specified tolerances from technical drawings.
6. Inspecting components using various measuring equipment such as verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres, etc.
7. Deburring components across a range of materials.
8. Reporting any anomalies to the Machine Shop Manager.
9. Working with the Quality Inspection Department during component manufacture.
10. Maintaining a clean and tidy environment and adhering to company standards.
11. Carrying out weekly cleaning of your assigned CNC machines.

The Person:
You will have experience working within a component manufacturing environment, ideally with some machine setting and operating knowledge, as well as an engineering qualification. Fanuc or Mazatrol controls knowledge would be beneficial.
Minimum Qualifications:
1. HNC/HND/NVQ in mechanical engineering.
2. Setting and Operating Milling and Turning Machines.
3. Fanuc and Mazatrol controls.
4. Ability to read engineering drawings.
5. Knowledge of Verniers, thread gauges, callipers, micrometres, etc.
6. Deburring.
7. Quality control and Inspection.
