TECHNICAL INSTRUCTORin MUSIC(OCCUPATIONAL THERAPY)
Salary Scale: Band 4– 37.5hours per week
We are looking for anindividual who is enthusiastic, compassionate,creativeand keenly motivated to join our wellestablished and innovative occupational therapy teamat Guild Lodge. You will be part of a team working alongsideservice usersand staffto promote the importance ofcreativeoccupationsandroles in both the inpatient setting and the wider community.
As a technical instructor being based and working within a secure environment your role will focus on the use of a music – in groups and 1:1s. A key aspect of your role will be setting up and maintaining a music pathway with direct links into the community – identifying partners who can enhance the service users’ lives and build up skills in creative roles and pursuits.
We have a range of excellent environments and opportunities for services users – namely a large Therapeutic Resources Centre & Sports Hall (that includes a pottery room with pottery wheels and a kiln, an art room, kitchen and gym facilities) as well as the Tarnbrook Vocational Unit (this has metal and woodwork as well as silversmithing, horticulture, library, IT resources and a soon to be bespoke music studio).
