1 x 20 hours per week
Salary: Grade 5, £14,050 - £15,472 per annum. £13.47 - £14.84 per hour
1 x 30 hours per week
Salary: Grade 5, £21,074 - £23,209 per annum. £13.47 - £14.84 per hour
Plus addition sleep in allowances of up to £2,736 per year (based on 4-6 sleep ins per month), flexible working hours with additional financial incentives for working Sunday’s and evenings as well as regular paid over time at 1½ your salary.

If you do not already hold the Level 3 diploma in working with young people, you will be enrolled onto this programme when you join us, once you have successfully met the probation period. Not only have a number of our residential support workers developed their career in Wigan to become senior support workers and registered managers, some have also trained to become qualified Social Workers or work with our health partners. Central to the role is the ability to develop a trusting relationship with young people. You will develop an understanding of their ambitions, strengths and assets and act as an advocate, always making sure there wishes and feelings are taken into consideration. You will ensure young people will have positive outcomes and experiences and work well under pressure, using initiative and demonstrating patience and understanding.
