Job summary The Department of Orthopaedics is seeking a (10 PA) consultant to join a dynamic, enthusiastic and forward-thinking team. This is a substantive position, to support growth in demand for hip arthroplasty surgery in our department. The Orthopaedic Department is currently involved in many exciting initiatives and is looking for an individual with appropriate skills to complement this team, and help keep the service in the forefront of clinical and academic excellence. The Department offers a wide range of service to patients. The post holder will undertake outpatient and inpatient sessions on a flexible basis and provide support to the fractured neck of femur pathway as required. This is an excellent opportunity to join a first class team in an active and progressive central London teaching hospital environment. Main duties of the job The post-holder will be accountable to the Clinical Director, Surgical Directorate. As an organisation we are committed to developing our services in ways that best suit the needs of our patients. This means that some staff groups will increasingly be asked to work a more flexible shift pattern so that we can offer services in the evenings or at weekends.
