The on target earning potential for this role is £39,320 / per annum - comprising a base salary of £34,320, plus a qualified estimate of £5,000 in gratuities and service charge. Here, on our 50-acre Scottish equestrian centre, we offer indoor and outdoor coaching, horse riding lessons and horse walking tours for guests at all levels, from age four up. This role includes the requirement to live onsite, we provide a dedicated residence for our Equestrian Manager, and a stable for one horse. Here's a bit more detail on what we see you doing in this role: Managing the day-to-day operations of our Equestrian School, you'll ensure seamless delivery of the highest standards in every area You’ll be leading private lessons and hacks with our guests, ensuring they have an incredible experience they’ll want to share, never forget, and hope to repeat Using your outstanding knowledge of horse behaviour, health, nutrition, grooming, you’ll ensure and maintain the highest standards of care for our horses; responding to any signs of illness, injury, or behavioural changes. swiftly and professionally, always with warmth and thoughtfulness Ensuring the Health & Safety adherence, cleanliness, and functionality of our stables, arenas, and equipment, coordinating repairs and upgrades with our Technical Services team and external providers Recruiting, training, and managing a supremely skilled and professional Equestrian team, including our instructors, rooms, and administrative support Fostering a positive and collaborative work environment, ensuring your team are motivated and engaged, sharing your vision for excellence Designing and delivering a variety of exciting, creative and profitable Equestrian events to engage our members and guests alike Developing and enhancing our Equestrian membership programme for both Adult and Junior membership, building strong relationships, understanding their bespoke requirements and creating fantastic, aligned experiences Working closely with veterinary services to monitor and address horse welfare through regular communication, scheduling routine check-ups, vaccinations and dental care, alongside preventive care and rehabilitation when necessary Proactively developing and executing strategies, in partnership with our Head of Pursuits, to attract new guests and grow the Equestrian School’s revenue and profitability Managing the Equestrian School’s budget, ensuring efficient use of resources, monitoring and controlling costs whilst achieving revenue targets and preparing regular financial and operational reports for our Senior Management team Building strong working relationships with our Gardens and Estate team, together ensuring our fields, arenas, and paddocks are well-maintained and always safe for use Collaborating with colleagues across the estate, particularly, our Playground Planning team, to secure maximise use of the Equestrian offering Interacting with our guests, always warm, professional, helpful and doing everything you can to exceed their expectations; playing your part in making their stay with us luxurious in every way The kind of person we're looking for: You already hold a minimum BHS stage 3 Care or have exceptional relevant experience Juggling a range of priorities, sometimes conflicting, is second nature to you and variety is crucial; whether you’re teaching riding lessons, interacting with members and guests, leading your team, or managing budgets, you approach every aspect with equal enthusiasm and dedication Naturally outgoing, you love to engage with guests and members, cultivating these relationships, answering their questions and professionally resolving any concerns; actively sharing your knowledge and expertise and driving curiosity in others Driven to enhance our guest experience while inspiring your team and elevating our services to new heights, you strive to make their time with you and your team unforgettable You know exactly how to manage emergency situations, such as horse injuries or accidents, and you're a quick decision maker who works well under pressure An early bird and a night owl, you're used to working at all times of the day and if required, responding to the needs of our horse family through the night Highly motivated and possessing an immense sense of pride in your work; you're passionate about delivering the high standards for our guests in line with the Gleneagles brand You have a positive “can do” attitude to solving problems in a professional and courteous manner A strong team player with great communication skills and an enthusiastic approach; you're well organised and punctual You want to be part of a team that works hard, supports each other and above all has fun along the way What’s in it for you: Time to let your hair down 30 days holiday (including bank holidays) that increases with service Seasonal parties and local social events 50% discount on Food & Beverage, Country Pursuits, Spa and Hair Salon (Mon-Thurs) and the Golf Driving Range Golf Membership (with access to all 3 championship courses) for £50.00 per annum Treats in your pocket Flexi points into your Perkbox wallet to spend as you choose.
