Exciting Interim Finance Manager Opportunity in Nottingham on a 6-month fixed term contract. Join our client as a Finance Manager and start immediately! This dynamic role is perfect for someone who thrives in a comprehensive accounts position.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Assist in providing monthly management accounts, commentary, and variance analysis for all companies.
2. Coordinate accounting practices across all companies to ensure efficient consolidated reporting.
3. Manage the monthly payroll process, ensuring timely and accurate payment of staff salaries, deductions, and employer charges.
4. Complete VAT returns for all companies.
5. Oversee invoicing processes, credit control, and debt collection.
6. Assist in preparing the annual group budget and long-term financial plans.
7. Prepare cash flow projections.
8. Maintain appropriate finance systems and records with documented procedures.
9. Prepare end-of-year financial statements and manage the annual audit process for all companies.
10. Complete tax and pension year-end returns and audits.
11. Maintain accurate project records, including costing, salary allocation, overhead apportionment, and fund claims.
12. Support the finance requirements of company contracts.
13. Maintain the fixed asset register, managing additions and disposals, and ensuring depreciation/amortisation is accounted for per company policies.
14. Set personal targets and objectives with direct reports.
15. Provide ad hoc financial management information as needed.
16. Systems are Sage and then dataplan for Payroll.
Our client seeks a forward-thinking accountant who excels in day-to-day accounting and enjoys contributing to improvements and various projects. Ideally, you have experience managing a small team and possess strong budgeting and forecasting skills. You thrive in a busy environment and enjoy working with non-financial budget holders.
What you'll need to succeed:
Ideally, a qualified accountant with hands-on accounting experience in a managerial role.
