Description
At Superior Healthcare we are currently seeking a team of Support Workers, to work with our complex care client living in their own home in Cressing, Braintree.
Our client is a 31-year-old female, who has cerebral palsy and fitted PEG. Your role as a Complex Care Support Worker would be to assist with the clients day time or night time routine, including assisting with personal care, administering medication, to regularly access the community, or to support with the clients bedtime routine.
Shift requirements
Days: 08:00 – 20:00
Sleep Nights: 20:00 – 08:00
There is also the option for 24 hour shifts, combining a day shift with a sleep night!

Responsibilities
* To be an advocate for the client, working in their best interest and in accordance with Superior Healthcare's policies and procedures.
* To provide any clinical intervention required with the clients PEG feed.
* To be observant, sensitive and responsive to client's needs and requirements, providing safe, effective care.
* To encourage the client with daily tasks and make shifts engaging.
* To confidently and clearly communicate with the client and using aids where necessary.
* To drive the clients adapted vehicle when regularly accessing the community.
* To assist the client with moving and handling, including the use of equipment such as hoists.
* To show the client dignity and respect when providing personal care to the client.
* To regularly refer to and follow care plans written by the Nurse Manager to ensure exceptional person-centred care is provided.
Requirements
* 6 months paid UK based care experience.
* Previous experience working with complex care clients, including non-verbal clients and clients with a PEG feed.
* Flexibility to offer availability at short notice, including weekend shifts.
* A manual, clean UK driver’s licence is required as the client's adapted vehicle will need driving.
