The main function of the role is to control and manage dry goods stock, which includes the purchase of £5m per annum plus management of monthly stock valued up to £400k per month. The role also involves ensuring that site requirements for dry goods are met in respect of quality, quantity and on time delivery. Salary Range: £35,000- £37,000 per year Placing orders for stock of up to 500k per month Conducting bi-weekly forecasts for labels and films, analysing projected commercial sales, and preventing stock shortages Managing stock and forecasts for box orders by analysing historical data and commercial retail sales figures Playing a crucial role in overseeing stock takes, analysing movements, and identifying reasons for discrepancies Managing stock and liaising with suppliers to ensure timely orders and maintaining optimum stock levels Staying on top of the invoicing system to clear all invoices promptly and address supplier queries for timely payments Collaborate with other teams to understand packaging requirements and provide input on packaging solutions Identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements within the procurement process Evaluate supplier performance and initiate actions to address any issues Overseeing the demand for seasonal and promotional quantities, which requires meticulous attention to ensure packaging and ingredients are accessible to fulfil orders. Proven experience in stock control and procurement, preferably in a FMCG environment Strong understanding of inventory management principles and practices Excellent negotiation and communication skills Ability to analyse data and make informed decisions Proficiency in using inventory management software and Microsoft Excel Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment Bachelor's degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field would be beneficial.
