Job Description
1. Routine servicing.
2. Attend breakdowns, identify faults, and problem-solve at the press with minimal downtime to aid production.
3. Report breakdown root causes, equipment faults, and concerns to management.
4. Ensure all work is undertaken to a high-quality standard and adheres to all quality standard regulations.
5. Ensure company targets are met in respect of quality of parts produced.
6. Identify spares requirements and log usage.
7. Preventative and reactive maintenance on mould injection machinery and robotic machinery.
8. Test and confirm electrical and hydraulic/pneumatic operations of mould injection machines.
9. Maintain the highest standards of workmanship at all times.
10. Be actively involved in improvement activities to support the achievement of departmental and company objectives.
11. Ensure risk assessments are available, read, and understood for each activity undertaken.
12. Work within 5S (Sort, Set In Order, Shine, Standardise, Sustain) methodology to maintain the workplace to a high standard.
13. Promote environmental issues and ensure all company procedures are understood and followed.
14. Undertake special projects as required.
15. Quality control of work by appropriate reviews.
16. Attend various meetings and action/communicate instructions.
Shift Pattern: 4 on 4 off - 12 Hours - Days & Nights rotating
The Successful Applicant
A successful Maintenance Engineer/Technician, experienced working in a manufacturing environment, as well as:
1. A recognised engineering qualification (NVQ Level 3 or similar ideally).
2. 17th/18th Edition trained.
3. Hydraulics/Pneumatics experience is required.
4. Strong communication skillset.
