Interim Chief Marketing Officer - Built Environment Sector
Our client is a well-established and successful business in the built environment sector, with an impressive 30-year heritage and ambitious growth plans. They are on an exciting trajectory to double in size by 2027, including international expansion.
Location: Reading (3 days per week office-based)
Contract: 12-month interim role with potential to become permanent
AS INTERIM CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
1. Leading and transforming an established marketing team
2. Developing and implementing marketing strategies aligned with ambitious growth targets
3. Building stronger collaboration between marketing, sales, and business development
4. Managing relationships with creative agencies and external partners
5. Overseeing all aspects of brand development and marketing communications
6. Driving innovation and digital transformation in marketing approaches
7. Contributing to international expansion strategies
THE IDEAL INTERIM CHIEF MARKETING OFFICER WILL HAVE:
1. Proven track record of marketing leadership and team transformation
2. Experience scaling businesses
3. Built environment sector experience
4. Strong stakeholder management and change management capabilities
5. Strategic thinking with practical implementation skills
6. Experience in B2B marketing, ideally within technical or specification-led industries
7. Track record of building high-performing marketing teams
