Our client has an exciting new opportunity for a Cyber Security Business Development Manager to join the team on a permanent basis. Based in Glasgow, and this will be a hybrid position.

As a Cyber Security Business Development Manager within the Cyber team, you will be instrumental in driving new business by developing and managing a robust cyber security sales pipeline. This role will require you to focus on promoting our managed cyber security services, including Security Operations Centre (SOC) services, Cyber Essentials certification, and solutions from key vendors. You will engage with both Public and Private sector organizations, identifying and closing new business opportunities while building long-term relationships with senior stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
•Business Development: Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities in the cyber security domain, focusing on Managed Services, SOC, Cyber Essentials, Firewalls and Consulting Services
•Sales Target Achievement: Carry and deliver on a measurable gross profit target through strategic sales initiatives.
•Client Engagement: Develop and maintain strong relationships with senior stakeholders across large Public and Private sector organisations.
•Solution Selling: Understand and articulate the evolving cyber security challenges faced by organisations, presenting how offerings—such as managed security services and vendor-specific solutions—can address these challenges.
•Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and pre-sales teams to create opportunities and align on strategies to enhance sales performance.
Experience Required:
•Cyber Security Sales Experience: Proven experience in selling cyber security solutions, particularly managed security services, SOC services, and compliance solutions like Cyber Essentials. Microsoft M365 & Fortinet knowledge would be highly desirable.
•Technical Acumen: Strong understanding of network security solutions and ability understand issues and offer solutions
•Business Development Expertise: A strong background in new business development with the ability to foster long-term strategic relationships.
•Sector Experience: Experience selling into the Public Sector as well as the Private Sector.
•Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a focus on consultative selling.
•Work closely with marketing to help create opportunities.
•Develop positive relationships with recommenders like accountants and IT consultants.
•Set and track sales accounts targets, aligned with company aims (CRM).
