A former country estate, The Langley is a luxury hotel and spa that had opened in early 2019, in the heart of the Buckinghamshire countryside. As sister hotel to The Wellesley Knightsbridge, Londons finest boutique-grand hotel, it offers the same level of luxury and exclusivity but with its own unique character and setting.
The hotels boutique selection of 41 exquisite rooms and suites were designed by Dennis Irvine Studio with the height of sophistication and refinement, alongside a collection of exclusive dining experiences, including a signature restaurant with an acclaimed chef at the helm and an intimate bar specializing in the finest cognacs and cigars.
Job Role
We are currently recruiting for a Bartender to join our dynamic team. As a Bartender, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests, ensuring they have an enjoyable and memorable experience while maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and organization at the bar.
General duties will include:
* Support the Bar Manager in developing the bars concept and implementing new drink menus.
* Ensure smooth bar operations and flexibility in daily tasks.
* Oversee shifts in the absence of the Bar Manager.
* Greet and serve guests professionally, providing personalized service.
* Offer drink recommendations and handle guest feedback.
* Identify and report special guest requests.
* Maintain high food and beverage service standards.
* Ensure proper table setup and bar presentation.
* Accurately process guest orders and payments.
* Assist in planning and delivering bar events.
* Control costs through correct storage and supply management.
* Comply with Health & Safety, Food Safety, and COSHH regulations.
* Attend mandatory training sessions.
* Support team training and development.
The ideal candidate will have:
* Proven background within a luxury hospitality environment.
* Previous experience working in a bar or hospitality setting, preferably in a luxury hotel or fine dining establishment.
* Minimum of 2 years experience in a bartending role.
* Strong operational knowledge of bar procedures and service standards.
* Team player with outstanding interpersonal skills.
* An eye for detail and a welcoming, professional personality.
* Flexibility with rotating shift patterns, including weekends and Bank Holidays.
* Willingness to cover night shifts occasionally, as required by business needs.
* Excellent time management skills and the ability to multitask during busy periods.
* The ability to communicate effectively with all members of staff and management, while paying close attention to detail.
* Ability to comply with all statutory and company regulations relating to Health & Safety, Hygiene, conduct of employees, fire emergency procedures, and security of premises and property.
