The Quality Inspector position is working with a market-leading, international multi-million-pound turnover engineering business based in Huddersfield. This is a permanent opportunity for a Quality Inspector to join a forward-thinking, industry leader.
The brand new purpose-built state-of-the-art manufacturing facility is based in Huddersfield, making it accessible from surrounding towns and cities including Halifax, Elland, Bradford, Leeds, and Wakefield.
Key Responsibilities of the Quality Inspector
* Documenting non-conformances.
* Creating monthly reports based on trends, detailing the top 3 issues.
* Assisting with investigations to root cause and creation of a corrective action plan.
* Continuous improvement - identifying any potential areas for improvement.
* Final product inspection - assisting and advising production if the finished product is acceptable to be shipped.
* Product & Process audits - carrying out audits within the manufacturing department according to schedule and raising non-conformances as required, with an emphasis on maintaining product quality.
* Quality champion - being proactive with regards to the quality system and other shop floor enquiries.
Work Hours of the Quality Inspector
* Monday to Thursday: 08:00-17:00.
* Friday: 08:00-13:45.
Minimum Skills/Experience Required
* GCSE level education (English & Maths).
* Experience in working within an engineering and manufacturing background.
* Experience in similar roles.
* Ability to read from engineering drawings (Desirable).
* Computer literate.
* Ability to use basic measuring equipment (vernier caliper & micrometers).
In Return, the Quality Inspector Will Receive
* £32,000-£36,000 per annum (DOE).
