Our continued success and business growth has opened up an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Contract Manager to join our successful team in Lymedale. Reporting to the Distribution Centre Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day running of the New Look contract, ensuring key stakeholder and customer requirements are met to a high standard.

Hours: 37.5 per week
How will you contribute?
1. Responsible for ensuring that the site is effective, and efficient, and that the ongoing operations consistently meet the customer's requirements in terms of service, budgeted financial goals, and other KPIs.
2. Build and maintain a positive and interactive partnership with key members of the clients' management teams.
3. Provide leadership and motivation of the management team ensuring they consistently achieve day-to-day excellence on an ongoing basis.
4. Continued development and succession planning of the team through performance reviews and structured meetings/reviews.
5. Effectively contribute as part of the site managerial team to support and promote positive behavior and culture.
6. Excellent communication skills to be an active part of the overall site employee engagement climate in a non-unionized environment.
7. A proactive approach to meet customer requirements, ensuring opportunities are identified and exploited, and day-to-day excellence in operations is achieved.
8. Be proactive in seeking out initiatives to ensure the site can support the customer's business plan and supply chain strategy.
9. Operate in a 'Closed Book' environment where decisions and performance are under close scrutiny at regular formal internal and customer reviews.
10. Promote the use of safe working practices in line with all relevant Health and Safety Legislation.
11. Adhere to and follow Company policies/procedures, including Quality, Health, and Safety to ensure compliance with statutory obligations.
12. Demonstrate an effective working relationship with the client, representing a proactive approach to problem-solving.
13. Any other duties considered necessary to fulfill the role.
Minimum Requirements:
1. A proven track record of operating at managerial level within a demanding environment.
2. Must demonstrate a proven track record of managing warehouse operations.
3. Accuracy and attention to detail, with a focus on high productivity and experience in a diverse and service-oriented environment.
4. Knowledge and experience of automated systems.
5. Excellent leadership, influencing, and communication skills to maximize the effectiveness of your team ensuring they are well informed and motivated to achieve performance goals and the KPIs of the Contract.
6. Possess the above skills and proactively engage with the senior team to support the business strategy as a key member of the high-performance team.
7. Excellent interpersonal skills to establish effective communication channels with employees ensuring they are well informed about the site and the wider business of both Wincanton and the customer.
8. Ability to demonstrate/provide budgetary and financial controls and operate effectively in a 'Closed Book' environment involving regular detailed and comprehensive customer reviews.
9. Must have the energy, determination, and commitment to operate in an environment where regular customer contact and scrutiny is the norm and effective customer communication is essential.
