Opportunity Details
People in Social Media Marketing are responsible for enhancing our presence on social media and other digital venues by using social media to support advocacy, press outreach and thought leadership positioning.
Social Media Associates are intimately familiar with our existing client base, as well as the type of customer the brand aspires to reach. They stay on top of newsworthy trending topics and the industry at large to determine how to best tailor content to our target audience. Social Media Associates know that the more value the audience receives, the more engagement the brand will create, which in turn increases overall brand awareness and reach.
What you will do
Building and executing social media strategy through competitive and audience research;
Setting up and optimizing company pages within each social media platform;
Key Responsibilities
Reporting to the Marketing Lead, the person in this position will aid the broader communications team with other tasks, including story writing and creating content in multi-media formats, such as social media stories, videos and podcasts:
1. Draft and schedule social media content aligned with the organization’s strategy and campaign calendar;
2. Assist with the development of social media campaigns surrounding publications and special events;
3. Write, co-write and edit blogs for our main and affiliate websites, in coordination with the marketing team lead;
4. Monitor the news cycle and relevant online conversations to identify “hooks” for our book of work and thought leadership;
5. Identify, track, and engage (through direct messaging) key reporters and thought leaders on key topics;
6. Assist teams across the organization in running live social media events including live tweeting;
7. Design digital graphics, images, and video and/or work with in-house designers to create them;
8. Assist the communications team with other tasks, including story boarding/writing and creating multimedia content, such as short videos and podcasts;
9. Sharing regular weekly & monthly reporting;
10. Understand and demonstrate commitment to upholding our Core Values.
Education and Experience
High School Diploma or equivalent (preferred)
Experience in tech eCommerce space is preferred
Knowledge in consumer electronics and the retail environment (preferred)
Skills and Requirements
Undergraduate degree or similar education in Communication and Marketing.
Excellent communication skills and record keeping.
Interest in technology and the ability to quickly learn new products and features
Self-starter with a strong commitment to driving results
Enthusiastic, initiative-taking, and outgoing personality that is comfortable in a competitive environment
Professional demeanor, excellent verbal, and written communication skills
Access to a PC/Laptop and Internet.

Track record in B2B and B2C marketing

Opportunity Details
This opportunity is suited for a fresh starter or mid-level seasoned professional with communication and marketing experience who focuses on technology.
Our company evolves in a niche market; thus, knowledge management in the Virtual Reality and 3D sectors is preferred.
Duration
Ability to commit 2-3 hours per day.
3 months duration. Strict adherence to this working timeline shall be enforced.
