Strathclyde Partnership for Transport (SPT) is the largest of Scotland’s seven regional transport partnerships. As well as running the iconic Glasgow Subway, SPT delivers an extensive range of public transport services including bus stations and subsidised bus services, manages large transport infrastructure projects and is responsible for delivery of a long-term multi-modal transport strategy for the West of Scotland. About The Role The Regulator is responsible for the safe movement of all buses in the bus station ensuring the continuous operation of traffic and ensuring timeous departures and for keeping all unauthorised persons/vehicles off the operational area and control any changes to bus movements within the stances and monitor and control vehicle movements and speed as well as control of parking. About You Our ideal candidate will be self-motivated, reliable and have good communication skills both orally and written and have the ability to work in an environment where safety is paramount. The ability to read timetables and fare tables as well as having basic keyboard skills is essential. You will also need to have good customer service skills and have experience working in a customer-facing/front line role. Good general knowledge of the transport industry and bus rules and regulations would be an advantage. The successful candidate will have relevant qualifications including National 5 Level A-C equivalent in English and Math/Arithmetic.
