The Department of Clinical Research at Musgrove Park Hospital is looking to welcome a new Research Nurse/Practitioner/AHP to join their acute research team.
The Acute Research Team is busy! We are a team of 12 who work together to set-up, deliver and manage numerous studies in various departments including ED, ICU, surgery, and other emergency admissions.
If you are interested in research, have experience working in acute settings, are motivated, can work autonomously, and have great attention to detail, then this may be the job for you.
Main duties of the job
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic registered nurse/practitioner/AHP. We would consider applicants from a variety of backgrounds and clinical settings, who could bring their leadership, organizational skills, and experience to our team. Experience of working in acute settings would be an advantage. We would provide an extensive induction, robust training, and ongoing support.
The post holder will support an established team of research nurses working across several clinical areas within the trust. You will need excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills. You will be expected to work in an autonomous, proactive, and organized manner to deliver clinical research and produce robust quality data, within deadlines, and to achieve NIHR targets. The post holder will be involved in ensuring that any research undertaken safeguards the wellbeing of patients and is conducted within ICH Good Clinical Practice Guidelines for Research.

Qualifications
* Registered Healthcare Professional
* Post-registration clinical experience
* Postgraduate diploma or equivalent (or working towards)
* Experience of Microsoft Word and Outlook
Experience
* Demonstrable, recent healthcare professional experience in the care of patients with acute and complex needs
* Previous experience of data collection, audit, and research design
* Some experience of project management

* Excellent communication and assertion skills (verbal and written)
