Your new role
As our new Principal Engineer, you will work on major highways projects in both the UK and internationally. You will be part of our Highways Central department, which is highly successful and growing rapidly. Our team collaborates across offices in the UK and overseas to deliver high-profile projects for clients, providing you with a dynamic and supportive working environment.
You will be involved in various types of projects, enjoying opportunities for professional growth and development. Our team is known for its enthusiasm, innovation, and strong commitment to delivering successful outcomes. Your key responsibilities will be:
1. Leading the design and development of drainage systems for major highways projects.
2. Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to integrate drainage designs with other project components.
3. Providing technical advice and mentoring team members to support project delivery and professional development.
4. Planning and managing work activities to ensure efficient and effective project execution.
5. Engaging with stakeholders and clients throughout the design process to achieve required certifications and approvals.
About you
1. Extensive experience in the design of drainage systems for highways projects in the UK and internationally.
2. Proficient in relevant standards and software including DMRB, MicroDrainage, InfoDrainage, and Civil3D.
3. Strong written and communication skills, with experience in preparing technical documents and reports.
4. Demonstrated ability to lead and manage diverse teams and project components.
5. Degree in civil engineering and professional accreditation as a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer (or equivalent).
