Site Operative
To work full year as part of our busy Site Team. The successful candidate will join us at an exciting time, as the newly formed ‘Bewdley School Foundation’ is set to take on land and buildings, in order to develop the site for the benefit of the school and the community. The school is expanding steadily and as a result of high demand for places, will need to expand classroom provision during the coming years.
Our existing Site Team works closely with Senior Leaders to ensure the continuous running and maintenance of our 22-acre school site. The successful applicant will work with the Site Manager & Assistant Site Manager to ensure all aspects of compliance, H&S, and general maintenance are upheld across our 6 buildings, as well as our Youth Hub and Leisure Centre.
The role will be based on a working pattern of Monday to Friday 2pm to 7pm and may vary slightly during holiday periods. Duties include assisting with locking/unlocking the school, routine maintenance (including painting & decorating, basic plumbing & carpentry), cleaning duties during the day, porterage duties, Health & Safety checks (in conjunction with the Site Manager), and replenishing stocks of consumables. Duties may also include driving the school minibus and assisting with large-scale projects under the direction of the Operations Manager.

Lunchtime Supervisor
Scale 1 Scale Point 2 – £11.59/hr – 10 hours per week
Term-time only
We need to appoint lunchtime supervisors to supervise during our staggered lunch arrangements, from 12.00pm to 2.00pm each day.
The successful candidates will have the communication skills and experience to relate well to young people and be able to use their personal authority and negotiation skills to ensure that student behaviour is safe and controlled. They will also have a good grasp of how a large and complex organization such as a school works and will be able to communicate effectively with students and colleagues alike.
Whilst the main role will be supervision of students, there may be a need to undertake ancillary duties such as setting up & clearing away dining tables, cleaning dining tables & picking up litter. Flexibility, resilience, and a good sense of humour will be assets in this role.
