Role Overview: As an Own Brand Buyer/Sourcing Consultant, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and managing the client's own-brand portfolio. Working closely with the buying and sales teams, your expertise will help identify opportunities, optimize sourcing strategies, and deliver high-quality products that meet customer expectations while maximizing profitability. Key Details: Pay Rate: £500 per day (contract) Location: South East, UK - 1 day per week in the office Industry: Wholesale/FMCG Duration: Contract basis (length to be confirmed) Responsibilities: Develop and execute sourcing strategies for own-brand product lines across a diverse portfolio. Identify cost-saving opportunities while ensuring product quality and compliance. Collaborate with suppliers to negotiate terms, pricing, and supply agreements. Conduct market analysis to identify emerging trends and customer demands. Work closely with cross-functional teams, including marketing, logistics, and quality assurance, to ensure seamless product launches and lifecycle management. Maintain and enhance supplier relationships to ensure consistent delivery and innovation. What We're Looking For: Proven experience in buying or sourcing roles, ideally within wholesale, retail, or FMCG sectors. Strong understanding of own-brand product and sourcing. Exceptional negotiation and supplier management skills. Analytical mindset with a track record of identifying and implementing cost-saving opportunities.
