You will be responsible for ensuring the safety, well-being, and development of the young people in our care, as well as managing a team of support staff, maintaining regulatory compliance, and ensuring that care is person-centred, safe, and of the highest standard.
Key Responsibilities:

* Oversee the day-to-day management of the children’s supported accommodation service, ensuring that all care and support is provided in line with regulatory and contractual requirements.
* Develop and implement individualised care and support plans for each young person, ensuring that their needs, goals, and aspirations are met.
* Ensure that young people are supported in developing independent living skills, social skills, and emotional resilience, promoting their long-term wellbeing and success.
* Regularly review care plans and risk assessments to ensure they are up-to-date and reflect the changing needs of young people in the service.
* Staff Management and Development:
* Lead, manage, and support a team of support workers, ensuring that they are trained, motivated, and equipped to provide high-quality care.
* Provide regular supervision, coaching, and performance appraisals to staff, ensuring professional development and adherence to service standards.

* Regulatory and Legal Compliance:
* Ensure that the accommodation is compliant with relevant regulations, including Ofsted, safeguarding requirements, and the Children’s Homes Regulations 2015.
* Lead on maintaining all necessary documentation and reporting to ensure full compliance with internal and external audits and inspections.
* Ensure that safeguarding policies and procedures are followed, and that any concerns are addressed promptly and appropriately.
* Ensure that all incidents and accidents are recorded accurately, and that staff are trained in managing risk and emergencies.
* Health, Safety, and Well-being:
* Promote and maintain a safe, secure, and nurturing environment for young people, addressing their physical, emotional, and psychological needs.
* Implement and review risk management strategies, including personal, health, and safety risks.
* Coordinate with external agencies, such as healthcare professionals, social workers, and education providers, to ensure young people’s health and wellbeing are holistically supported.
* Financial and Resource Management:
* Manage budgets and resources effectively, ensuring the accommodation runs efficiently while maintaining high standards of care.
* Ensure cost-effective use of resources, and that the service delivers value for money without compromising the quality of care.
* Partnership Working and Engagement:
* Build and maintain positive relationships with external stakeholders, including local authorities, social workers, families, and other care providers.
* Act as the main point of contact for families and carers, ensuring their involvement and engagement in the care process.
* Facilitate and attend regular review meetings and case conferences to support young people’s individual development and ensure holistic care provision.
* Lead the team in continuously improving service delivery through feedback, reflection, and the implementation of best practice models.
* Regularly review the service’s practices, ensuring that it remains innovative, high-quality, and responsive to the changing needs of young people.
* Drive and support staff to be proactive in making positive changes and achieving high outcomes for young people
