Senior Quantity Surveyor (Client-Side) - Major Infrastructure Programme Location: Wales Salary: £75,000 - £100,000 (depending on experience) We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to join a client-side team managing a £1 billion programme of infrastructure works across multiple port locations. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the successful delivery of major infrastructure developments. Key Responsibilities: Oversee and manage the cost life cycle of large-scale infrastructure projects from inception (Stage 1) through to completion (Stage 5). Develop robust cost plans and ensure financial controls are in place throughout the project lifecycle. Draft and prepare NEC4 contracts, focusing on client requirements and associated risks, before putting them through the procurement and tendering process. Administer NEC4 contracts effectively, with a particular focus on Option C, ensuring cost control, risk management, and contract compliance. Collaborate closely with the project team to monitor progress, manage costs, and mitigate risks across the programme. Use advanced Excel skills to analyse data, track budgets, and prepare financial reports. Key Requirements: Proven experience working on major infrastructure developments, ideally with some experience in the port or transportation sectors. Strong background in NEC4 Contract administration, particularly Option C. Ability to develop and administer contracts with a focus on client needs and risk mitigation. Advanced Excel skills, with the ability to manage complex financial data. Experience managing the cost life cycle of projects, with a strong understanding of cost planning and management. Ideally MRICS qualified, although this is not essential. Experience working at the pre-construction phase (front end) of a project, with knowledge of procurement and tendering processes.
