Main duties of the job
As a Band 6 Specialist Physiotherapist, you will work autonomously within a dedicated team to provide advanced physiotherapy assessments, diagnosis, and treatments. This role will enable you to:
* Deliver high-quality physiotherapy care, from assessment to treatment and discharge planning, using evidence-based practices.
* Provide specialist advice and education to patients, carers, and multidisciplinary teams.
* Lead on clinical practice initiatives to elevate the profile of the service.
* Supervise, mentor, and support junior staff and undergraduate physiotherapy students.
* Maintain accurate clinical records and ensure adherence to HCPC standards.
* Work across Orthopaedic In-patient Wards and MSK Outpatients, with opportunities for cross-site collaboration.

Person Specification
Experience
* Proven postgraduate experience, particularly in Orthopaedics and MSK.
* Strong clinical reasoning, analytical, and judgmental skills for complex cases.
* Excellent communication skills and a proactive approach to team collaboration.
* A commitment to continuous professional development and patient-centred care.
Qualifications
* BSc in Physiotherapy or equivalent with HCPC registration.
