The school is based in Rotherham and has a range of needs, including autism, learning difficulties, and physical disabilities. The aim will be is to empower pupils through tailored support, enabling them to achieve academic, social, and emotional success.
As a SEND EYFS Teaching Assistant, you will:
* Work closely with teachers to deliver engaging and differentiated learning activities.
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with varying needs.
* Assist with behaviour management, fostering a calm and productive classroom atmosphere.
* Support pupils with personal care, where required, always ensuring dignity and respect.
* Help monitor and track pupil progress, contributing to individual education plans (IEPs).
The ideal candidate will:
* Have experience working with children in EYFS / SEND (preferred but not essential).
* Be patient, empathetic, and passionate about making a difference in children’s lives.
* Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* Be proactive, flexible, and eager to learn.
* Hold a relevant qualification (Level 2 or 3 Teaching Assistant or equivalent) – desirable but not essential.
