Main Duties of the Treasurer
The duties include:
1. Keeping a general overview of financial matters.
2. Managing the income from fundraising, grants, and donations.
3. Paying salaries, bills, and expenses.
4. Managing the bank accounts.
5. Budgeting and financial planning, reporting to the Trustees, funders, HMRC, and Charity Commission as appropriate.
6. Liaising with the bookkeeper to ensure accounts have the appropriate level of verification by third parties.
Skills/Experience Desirable of the Treasurer:
* A numerate person capable of working with spreadsheets and good at writing reports.
* Confident using the internet.
