Job Description
They are now looking for a graduate civil/structural engineer, or an engineer with some experience, to join to work on structural projects.
Examples of tasks that may be undertaken by the successful candidate:
1. Involvement in projects of varying scale from conception through to completion;
2. Assessing and understanding project requirements;
3. Undertaking design across a number of disciplines;
4. Agreeing timescales and specifications with clients and managers;
5. Preparation of documents and reports;
6. Working towards Chartered status and maintaining CPD training;
Candidate specification
The successful candidate should have the following:
1. Clear and efficient verbal and written communication;
2. Confident personality with the ability to liaise with clients and contractors;
3. Ability to use software such as AutoCad, Masterseries, TEDDS, etc;
4. Ability to use Microsoft Office to produce project related documents;
5. Commitment to professional excellence and personal development;
6. A strong BEng or Masters degree in civil/structural engineering;
7. The ability to be adaptable and able to work both independently and as part of a successful close-knit team;
8. Strong communication skills with the ability to confidently build and maintain external and internal relationships;
9. Strong attention to detail and demonstrate accurate work;
10. Flexible approach to work, and ability to prioritise and manage time effectively to meet deadlines;
11. The ability to produce plans, write reports to support planning applications, design calculations and construction drawings;
12. Be able to interact with fellow professionals on multidisciplinary projects and interfacing and cooperating accordingly;
