Axcis Education is delighted to be recruiting for full-time Graduate Teaching Assistants to support intervention programmes in Mathematics and English for Key Stage 2 pupils ahead of their SATs. This role offers an excellent opportunity for ambitious graduates, particularly those with a background in Mathematics or English, who are considering a future in teaching.
About the Role:
As a Graduate Teaching Assistant, you will:
1. Provide tailored intervention support to both high- and low-achieving pupils, boosting their confidence and understanding of Mathematics and English.
2. Work with small groups or on a one-to-one basis to deliver targeted learning activities.
3. Assist pupils in preparing for their SATs by reinforcing key concepts, addressing gaps in knowledge, and promoting a positive attitude towards learning.
4. Collaborate with class teachers to monitor progress and adapt support strategies to meet individual needs.
This role is based in one of the largest primary schools in Bristol, known for its dynamic and inclusive environment, where staff are committed to ensuring every child achieves their full potential.
About You:
We are looking for graduates who:
1. Hold a degree in Mathematics, English, or a related subject.
2. Are enthusiastic, patient, and passionate about education.
3. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with pupils and staff.
4. Are interested in gaining classroom experience and considering a career in teaching.
5. Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting is desirable but not essential.

Working Hours:
