Desired Qualification:
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Childcare OR equivalent Or Enrolled on
Experience:
1 years' in a Ofsted Children's Home
The role of Senior is ideally suited to an:
1. Someone who is currently a Senior or Team Lead, looking for a new challenge with a company they can progress with.
2. Experienced Residential Support worker who is looking for the next step in their career.
Job Overview:
Senior Residential Support Workers (Also known as Team Leaders) go above and beyond to help children who have experienced a difficult past to forge positive pathways towards a brighter future.
Shift Pattern:
You will work condensed shifts of two days on, and 4 days off with one additional day per month, on average.
Holiday:
210 hours

at 2 years and 5 years’ service

Main Responsibilities:

Reporting to the Assistant/Deputy Manager, you will be the lead practitioner on shift. You will mentor, support, and coach new team members and draw upon your extensive experience to manage any challenges that may arise. No two days are the same. You will work collaboratively with the education and therapy consultants, as well as colleagues from the wider sector, keeping the children at the heart of all you do. You will have the support of a dedicated, compassionate, like-minded team, who are all committed to the achievement and well-being of both the children and everyone in the community.
What we are looking for:
You have achieved Level 3 Diploma or equivalent in Residential Childcare / Children and Young People’s Workforce. Ideally, you will have experience in the Residential Children's Services sector or have worked in a similar setting working with children with challenging behaviour.
This role offers a great work-life balance with the condensed working rota and sleep-ins, and shifts start.
