We will be recruiting Healthcare Support Workers to work in a variety of our wards and services, both at Homerton University Hospital and at our Community Sites.
You will work closely with Registered Nurses and the multi-disciplinary team, delivering high quality care to patients by helping and assisting with routine activities associated with the Ward.
Being a Healthcare Support Worker is a key role that’s at the very heart of healthcare. There are no set entry requirements to become a Healthcare Support Worker, but good literacy and numeracy skills are expected. You will be supported to complete the Care Certificate, which is a requirement for this role.
Working Hours: Full time 37.5 per week
ASSESSMENT & INTERVIEW DATE: Friday 14th March 2025 (please prepare for a full day)
You will assist with patient hygiene needs, toileting, nutritional intake, assisting patients with their mobility and physical comfort, and monitoring and recording vital signs.
You will have good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work using your own initiative as well as working as part of a team.
In conjunction with registered staff, you'll contribute to the assessment of patient’s activities of daily living and the care required.
