Our client is looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join the growing team in the North East. If you are used to autonomously and at pace and have experience in civils, plot works, or housebuilding this is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established team of senior Quantity Surveyors. Responsibilities Responsible for your own site’s with the potential of multiple fast paced projects. Managing ongoing costs of live projects through to completion. Support Estimating colleges with monthly low value valuations and variations. Produce bill of quantity/activity schedule for payment purposes. Monitor and control income and expenditure on contracts. Attend and contribute to financial and progress meetings with the client and subcontractors when required. Provide advice and support to site teams and colleagues. Attend monthly internal planning meetings with the Operations team and senior leadership team. Produces monthly forward forecasting reports. Ensuring Payroll for direct labour and subcontractor site operatives are correctly paid. What do we need from you Ability to use Excel and Microsoft suites. Excellent communication skills, both oral & written. Negotiation skills and ability to apply those skills internally and externally. Previous experience in civils in particular plot works ideal. Willingness to work on your own initiative and progress your career. Experience with JCT and NEC contracts ideal. HND/Degree in Quantity Surveying. CSCS card.
