Job Overview
At Century Hose and Couplings we are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Service Administrator to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth operations within our service department. This position requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to analyze data effectively.
Key Responsibilities
1. Handle customer enquiries via phone and email, ensuring a professional and friendly service experience.
2. Process orders, returns, and exchanges, ensuring timely and accurate completion.
3. Resolve customer issues or escalate when necessary, ensuring a high level of customer satisfaction.
4. Collaborate with various departments to provide seamless service.
5. Assist with administrative tasks such as scheduling, filing, and document preparation.
6. Manage supplier accounts, update records, and ensure accurate data entry.
7. Assist with UK purchasing.
Duties
1. Work with the General Manager and the sales team updating orders, issues, purchase orders on the system efficiently.
2. Input orders when required.
3. Answer overflow of sales calls.
4. Any other responsibilities as required.
5. Comply with company health safety policies and procedures and, as applicable, ensure safe use and maintenance of all equipment and fully utilise all safety items within the legal and H&S requirements.
Experience
1. Full training provided.
2. Excellent organisational, communication, prospecting skills, self-motivation, and professionalism.
3. Strong skills in developing new relationships with customers and the ability to recommend solutions to solve customer business challenges.
4. Ability to communicate and negotiate effectively with businesses and teams at all levels at client’s organisation.
5. Strong organisational and planning skills with the ability to multitask and take initiatives.
6. Ability to work both independently and as a member of a team.
7. Full UK driving licence with access to own vehicle.
8. Good IT skills.

Working Hours: 37.5 per week, Monday to Friday 8:30am-5:00pm with an unpaid lunch break of 1 hour.
Location: Roman Way Industrial Estate, Preston.
Ideal Start Date: 20th February 2025.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent.
Pay: £25,000.00 per year.
