Established in 1847, it has played a significant role in the UK's correctional system. The facility can house over 1,200 inmates and offers various programs aimed at rehabilitation and skill development. Leeds Prison is a prominent correctional facility in West Yorkshire, UK, with a long history of housing inmates of varying categories. What the role entails As a Maths Teacher, you will develop and deliver high quality, learner-focused education to meet contractual requirements and standards, in line with Novus policies and procedure; supporting learners and colleagues alike to ensure the best outcome for all who work within our sector. To be effective in the role of Maths Teacher, you will need to: Be willing to develop and work towards Level 5 Certificate in Education and towards a Level 5 subject specialism in Maths OR hold a teaching qualification and where applicable, relevant subject specialist qualification - with a commitment to obtain the outstanding qualification within 12 months Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)/ Qualified Teacher Learning and Skills (QTLS) or commit to work towards within a specified timeframe Aspire to develop in the role as a Maths (or English) Teacher Enthusiasm and commitment to a career in teaching Remuneration and Benefits Successful candidates will be offered a salary of between £29,047 to £38,124 per annum, dependent on your qualifications and level of experience.
