Join Us as Clinical Lead of our Perinatal Service Line Commissioningwithin the South West Provider Collaborative
As the Clinical Lead, you will lead our collaborativeworkstream, with clinicians from all our providers, to review and develop innovativeclinical models and pathways tailored to the unique needs of our perinatalpopulation. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping our services so we canmeet the needs of our patients now and in the future, linking in with nationalforums and colleagues across the country. This role demands a forward-thinkingapproach, where you will work closely with clinical teams and stakeholders toenhance service delivery and patient outcomes.
We can offer a flexible base, but our team is based atLangdon Hospital in Devon. We have a regional footprint and this role mayinclude travel across the South West with the flexibility to work via MicrosoftTeams. You will be at the forefront of developing strategic initiatives,overseeing clinical excellence, and fostering collaborative relationships witha variety of professionals and organisations.

Main duties of the job
Leadership andDevelopment: Lead the creation and implementation of innovative clinical modelstailored to the unique needs of perinatal patients. This involves designing andrefining clinical pathways and ensuring our providers are supported to integrateidentified best practices in service delivery.
Strategic Oversight:Provide high-level clinical leadership and strategic direction, translating theoverarching goals of the South West Provider Collaborative into actionableplans for the perinatal service line.
Quality Assurance:Develop and oversee quality governance frameworks to ensure the delivery ofsafe, effective, and high-quality care. Monitor performance metrics andimplement improvements to enhance patient outcomes and service efficiency.
Stakeholder Engagement:Act as a key representative for the Collaborative, engaging with internalteams, partner organisations, and national bodies. Participate in publicforums, partnership meetings, and consultations to advocate for and advanceperinatal mental health services.
Clinical Expertise:Provide expert clinical guidance and support to the Head of Service and thebroader clinical team. Ensure that clinical practices are aligned with currentresearch, evidence-based guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
Innovation andImprovement: Lead initiatives for continuous improvement, including thedevelopment and implementation of service model and the incorporation offeedback from patients and stakeholders.

Job responsibilities
The Clinical Lead for service line is accountable to the South West Provider Collaborative Deputy Medical Director.
The post holder is accountable for:
1. leading the development of a transformational clinical model to address the assessed needs for the population of the south west
2. leading the design and development of clinical pathways
3. leading the design and development of quality governance and assurance frameworks
4. deputise for the South West Provider Collaborative Deputy Medical Director where considered appropriate for example at national meetings relating to the service line
The post holder will be expected to translate the South West Provider Collaborative strategy into a clinical service strategy for the service line ensuring national/regional best practise is leveraged and there is alignment across other Provider Collaboratives and national plans.
They will be responsible for working with the Head of Service to operationalise and deliver the designed clinical model, clinical pathways and quality governance and assurance framework.
The post holder will provide clinical expertise and leadership to the Head of Service who is accountable for:
5. Annual and multi-year service line business plan
6. Day to day operational commissioning response
7. Corporate business returns and monthly reporting
The post holder will work within the performance and management framework which governs the delivery of the South West Provider Collaboratives objectives as such the post holder is co-responsible for the sound stewardship of governance within the South West Provider Collaborative
The post holder will represent the South West Provider Collaborative in a variety of contexts internally and externally including public forums and partnership meetings. They will be expected to work closely with colleagues from other Trusts and professions to ensure that people can access the service to meet their needs at the times they need it and to ensure the exploration of news ways of working to meet need.
The post holder is expected to forge positive working relationships with stakeholders.

10. Detailed working knowledge of the NHS and Local Government policies relating to Mental Health (in particular Provider collaboratives, NHS Long Term Plan) together with good knowledge of principal policy and financial determinants.
11. Detailed Knowledge of the professional/revalidation requirements for the professional group.
12. Demonstrable understanding of the Recovery approach.
13. Good working knowledge of other healthcare and public service sectors especially those relating to the Perinatal Service.
14. Substantial senior clinical leadership experience in the development of transformative clinical redesign and pathway development
15. Substantial senior clinical leadership experience in the development of quality governance and assurance frameworks

17. Good working knowledge of healthcare markets and market determinants.
