The purpose of this role is to support the Events Manager in coordinating the charity’s incomegenerating events programme. You will be a key part in developing the programme and ensuring the successful delivery of events. You will collaborate with other areas of the charity, and external stakeholders, to provide logistical and administrative support on a wide range of events. Key Responsibilities Support the Events Manager to ensure objectives and targets are met including event income, expenditure and nonfinancial KPIs. Actively encourage and increase supporter fundraising and engagement across all events. Work with the Events Manager to develop event sponsorship with existing sponsors and research potential new leads. Work with the Events Manager to create and achieve a comprehensive events strategy including the planning and implementing of all live and virtual events. Support and deliver events in both Essex & Hertfordshire which will include offsite working, and working evenings and weekend hours as required (a TOIL system is used). Book external contractors and event equipment as required. Actively attend events to steward supporters and build new relationships. This may include attendance outside normal working hours. Build and maintain relationships with companies for prizes for events. Understand associated legal compliance (e.g. contracts, insurance, Health & Safety). However, the accountability of legal compliance will remain with the Events Manager and the Head of Income Generation. Manage bookings and sales for events using our ticketing platform – Ticket Tailor. Manage and maintain stored event equipment. Build a strong relationship with the volunteer team including our volunteers. Work closely with the fundraising team to cross promote our fundraising and events. Create opportunities to collect feedback and objectively analyse comments received. Work closely with the communications team to produce both physical and virtual creative marketing and promotional materials to timescales. Build existing relationships and research new opportunities for suppliers (e.g. venues)
