We are working with a Main Contractor delivering multiple packages on HS2 at Old Oak Common, who is looking for a Senior Planner to join their team on a long term contract basis starting immediately.
The role will be based full time on site and the client is open to working outside IR35 subject to a status determination.
What you will be doing:
1. Assimilate information and summarise it in a manner that can be used to communicate the work scope to others.
2. Prepare a resourced programme, including reviewing the outcome for conformance with expectations and requirements.
3. Contribute to the risk register and undertake programme risk analysis.
4. Prepare visual material in support of planned methods.
5. Manage personally controlled project documentation in an orderly fashion.
6. Define methods and establish outputs, in consultation with the estimator and other team members, including the supply chain in appropriate circumstances.
7. Liaise with the design engineer to establish a design brief for temporary works.
8. Provide the estimator with a justified schedule of temporary works and other indirect cost items.
9. Attend the bid review meeting to contribute a clear view of the work scope and the intentions for delivering it by reference to prepared material.
10. Attending the handover meeting to contribute a clear view of the work scope and the intentions for delivering it by reference to prepared material and clear further defined tasks.
11. In consultation with Estimator advise project team of required feedback reports and support.
The ideal candidate will have
12. Experience working for a main contractor self delivering on a major project
13. Advance practical knowledge of P6
14. Some exposure to Aconex
15. Come from a construction delivery background
