Job Summary

Contribute to the future of aviation by ensuring operational excellence and cybersecurity. The Cyber Security Technician responds to security threats, manages security tools, and collaborates with SOC providers to handle incidents. The role involves troubleshooting, threat detection, and maintaining security knowledge to protect information systems.
This role offers hybrid working and requires travel to the nearest GKN Aerospace site, with global travel twice a year.
How You'll Contribute
* Follow all HSE rules, wear PPE as required.
* Assist IT/OT teams in monitoring threats and vulnerabilities.
* Maintain global cyber controls and support 24x7 security operations.
* Escalate, respond to, and report cybersecurity incidents and corrective actions.
* Support high-availability service levels and security controls.
* Work effectively within a multi-location team.
* Develop and maintain cybersecurity processes, standards, and architectures.
* Assess IT/OT environments, including systems, networks, databases, and applications.
* Support maintenance, administration, and incident remediation, including root cause analysis.
* Engage in change management, assessing change impacts and operational readiness.
What You'll Bring
Essential:
* Relevant degree or equivalent experience.
* Minimum 5 years in high availability & performance infrastructure in a global manufacturing setting, in roles like security, systems, or network administrator.
* Experience in a virtual, multicultural, global environment.
* Extensive knowledge of information security, IT risk management, security protocols, cryptography, authentication, authorization, and security tools like SIEM.
* Understanding of system architectures and vulnerability impacts.
Desirable:
* Knowledge of aerospace regulations and export controls.
* Ability to collaborate with stakeholders on security implications of business changes.
* ITIL certification, familiarity with NIST CSF, ISO 27001, Data Protection regulations.
* Background in network/firewall administration, CCNA, Security+, CEH, or CISSP qualifications.
