About Us:
At The Nursing Partnership, we believe that care is more than just a job - it's about making a real difference in people's lives. We're proud to provide high-quality, person-centred support to individuals across the Scottish Borders. Whether it's helping someone with their daily routine, offering companionship, or supporting them to achieve their goals, we're here to make life easier and more fulfilling for those who need it most.
We're currently looking for Care Assistants who share our passion for helping others. If you have at least 6 months' experience in care, a caring heart, and the ability to make people smile, we'd love for you to join our friendly, supportive team.
About the Role:
As a Care Assistant with The Nursing Partnership, you'll be working in a variety of settings, including residential homes, supported living environments, and out in the community. No two days will be the same, but one thing is certain - you'll be making a positive impact on someone's life every single day.
This role is agency-based, so you'll have the flexibility to choose shifts that fit around your schedule - whether that's full-time, part-time, or relief work. We have a wide range of shifts available, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and nights, meaning you can work in a way that suits your lifestyle.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Personal Care: Assisting with daily tasks such as bathing, dressing, and eating, always with kindness and respect.
2. Supporting Independence: Helping people live their best lives by promoting independence, dignity, and choice.
3. Social Engagement: Encouraging and supporting individuals to engage in community activities, hobbies, and social events.
4. Medication Assistance: Helping with medication administration where required, in line with company policies.
5. Teamwork: Working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best care possible for the people you support.
What We're Looking For:
1. At least 6 months' experience in a similar care role (essential).
2. A positive, can-do attitude and a genuine passion for helping others.
3. Excellent communication skills - you'll be talking to people from all walks of life, so being able to communicate effectively is key!
4. Flexibility - our shifts are varied, so we're looking for someone who can adapt to different schedules.
5. Ability to work independently, as well as part of a fun, collaborative team.
6. A valid PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) check is required (we can assist you with this).
7. A full UK driving licence is preferred but not essential.
What We Offer:
1. Competitive Pay: We offer a great salary with the chance to earn more through overtime.
2. Flexibility: You pick the shifts that work best for you! Whether you're looking for full-time, part-time, or just some extra hours, we've got you covered.
3. Ongoing Training & Support: We invest in our team, with training opportunities and ongoing support to help you grow in your role.
4. A Fun and Supportive Team: You'll be part of a team that's passionate about making a difference - and we're always here to support you.
5. Future Opportunities: There may be the chance for permanent roles if you're looking for something long-term!
