Trainee Sales Administrator
£19,500 (under 21 years) - £22,308 (21 years and over) - this is reflective of a Trainee level role
37.5 hours per week, 8.30-5.30 Monday to Thursday, 8.30 to 1:00 Friday, 22 days holiday, Pension, Life Insurance, Death in Service, Private Health Care (after 6 months), Discretionary bonus scheme
The Role:
Our client is a leading global engineering organisation established over 25 years ago and employing 60 staff in the UK and a further 60 plus across their international offices.
Due to business growth an opportunity has arisen for a bright and enthusiastic individual to join their highly productive Sales team. This Trainee Sales Administrator role would suit an individual who is looking to build a career in a varied role where training will be provided. An interest in engineering would be advantageous but is not essential.
Duties:
1. Processing new sales leads and opportunities for the team, including the preparation of tender documents
2. Managing technical documents in line with Company QA procedures
3. Monitoring of correspondence between the sales team and clients
4. Answering phone calls and liaising with clients as required
5. Scheduling of diaries, meetings and meeting rooms
6. Monitoring and updating the Company CRM (database)
7. Managing and updating central sales documents and presentations
8. Assisting in the preparation of pre-qualification documentation
9. Using own initiative to pro-actively develop new admin systems in conjunction with sales managers and Business Development Director
10. Ensuring relevant bid/estimate sign-offs are attained in line with Quality Procedures
11. Monitoring of sales deadlines for the team
12. Daily monitoring of the central sales email system
13. Booking of departmental travel
14. General sales and administrative duties as may be required.
Requirements:
We are seeking someone who is extremely organised and pays good attention to detail. You must be able to manage and prioritise your own workload, be proactive and a team player within the Sales Team.
It is essential that you have confident communication skills and are able to liaise with staff of all levels.
Good knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel is essential.

Package
22 days holiday per annum, increasing after a full calendar years' service by one day per year up to 25 days. The office is closed between Christmas and New Year and holiday must be reserved for this purpose. The company offers a generous pension scheme matching contributions up to 7%.

Death in Service at a rate of 4 times the salary
