Job Title: Yard Operative & Forklift Driver
Location: New Romney, Kent (must drive and have own transport)
Salary: £28,000
Hours: Monday to Friday 8am - 5pm

Our client are a trusted provider of high-quality materials and services, catering to the construction and logistics needs of businesses across the South East.
Role Summary:
You will be responsible for managing the yard and store area, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are organised, accessible, and secure. This role requires a proactive individual with strong organisational skills to handle the daily logistics of receiving, storing, and distributing goods.
Key responsibilities within your new role would be to:
Receive deliveries of goods and supplies.
Check goods for damaged or missing items.
General maintenance of equipment, including painting industrial machinery.
Ensure the safe storage of goods.
Move stock around by hand or using the forklift.
Pack and palletise equipment ready for delivery.
Load and unload lorries.
Maintain records of stock.
Complete relevant paperwork.
Support the fabrication team when required.
Maintain a clean and tidy yard. Experience and skills required for this position:
You MUST have experience of driving a forklift (expired and in-house licences are acceptable)
You MUST drive and have your own transport due to location.
Previous experience within warehouse operations.
Knowledge of inventory management practices and stock control.
Basic computer skills.
Physical stamina for handling heavy and large materials and equipment.
The ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.Next steps:
