Support Worker

Responsibilities:
1. Encourage the people we support to make their own choices about everyday things such as what to wear, what to do, what to eat, as well as bigger decisions such as where to live, how to spend their money or where to go on holiday.
2. Enable the people we support to fulfil those choices, including structured activities which help each individual to develop their confidence and skills.
3. Assist the people we support to meet their responsibilities such as paying bills, looking after their homes, being good neighbours, and keeping in close contact with friends and family.
4. Encourage involvement in Company-related activities such as training, recruitment of new staff, and house meetings.

1. Support individuals in carrying out normal household tasks.
2. Understand principles of respect and dignity.
3. Demonstrate patience and empathy.
4. Provide intimate personal care with dignity and respect.
5. Possess good communication skills adaptable to various situations.
6. Speak on behalf of others and communicate with a range of professionals.
7. Exhibit good written skills for recording events empathetically.
8. Have basic computer skills for record-keeping and information retrieval.
9. Demonstrate good observational skills.
10. Work effectively as part of a team.
11. Maintain consistent standards in work.
12. Make decisions and follow them through.
13. Be creative and organized.
14. Manage and record finances.
15. Possess a valid driving license and have access to a vehicle.
