Working for a company offering solutions to a variety of industries involved in construction covering road, rail, nuclear, airports, garage forecourts, housing developments, and drilling based in the Maldon area. The company has secured contracts with the main utility providers and is looking to recruit a Land Surveyor to work on Land and Utility Surveying.
Duties:
1. Working alongside the Operations Director
2. Going to client sites to survey and mark up drawings
3. Using GPS, ground penetrating radar, and CAT to ascertain the location of utilities to add to maps and drawings
4. Using AutoCAD to produce drawings
5. Typically, you will be out on site 3 days per week and in the office 2 days per week
6. When in the office, you may also assist engineers with other duties
7. Client sites are situated all over the UK, which may mean occasional overnight stays in hotels
8. Long term, there is the opportunity for development into a management position
Skills & Experience:
1. Knowledge of utility tracing is ideal
2. Knowledge of land surveying is preferred
3. CAD experience is preferred
4. Must have a clean driving license
5. Would consider all levels of candidates including recent graduates or college leavers who have studied surveying
6. Must have good customer-facing skills
Benefits:
1. When in office, hours of work will be 9 - 5 Monday to Friday
2. When on site, hours will be 8 - 4.30
3. 20 days holiday + bank holiday + 3-5 days for Christmas shutdown
4. Salary negotiable depending on experience + generous subsistence allowance
