Our client, a global leader in providing innovative pharmaceutical services, is seeking a Business Development Director to drive growth across Europe. Specialising in clinical trial supply and early access programs, our client supports pharmaceutical and biotech companies in providing access to essential medicines worldwide.
This is a key leadership role focused on identifying and securing new business opportunities, building strong client relationships, and ensuring the success of services in the European market.
Key Responsibilities:
* Identify and target new business opportunities within the European pharmaceutical and biotech markets.
* Cultivate and maintain long-term relationships with key stakeholders, including pharmaceutical companies, healthcare providers, and regulatory bodies.
* Develop and execute a business development strategy tailored to the European market.
* Lead and manage the sales process from lead generation to contract negotiation.
* Stay informed about market trends, competitor activity, and regulatory changes in the pharmaceutical services space in Europe.
* Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
* Report on business development activities and outcomes, including sales pipeline and revenue forecasts.
* Represent the company at key industry events, conferences, and networking opportunities across Europe.
Key Requirements:
* At least 4 years of experience in business development or sales within the pharmaceutical services, life sciences, or healthcare industry.
* Proven ability to successfully drive new business and manage client relationships in Europe.
* Strong understanding of the European pharmaceutical and biotech landscape.
* Strong strategic thinking, communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
* Fluency in English; additional European languages (e.g., German, French, Spanish) is highly desirable.
* Ability to collaborate effectively with internal teams and key stakeholders across regions.
