Power Electronic Design Engineer
The primary function of the Electronic Design Engineer will be to design and develop power supplies and related products to internal and external customer specifications and support sales and manufacturing.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Design and develop designs according to Design Procedures: (Concept Development, Component & Part Selection, Design of electronic circuits, PCB design, prototype build & test)
2. Review Customer Specifications and requirements and create technical proposals.
3. Support Sales in preparing Quotations, technical replies to customers, and technical meetings.
4. Support Production in transfer of designs from R&D to NPI & Production.
5. Support Production in testing and fault finding.
6. Assist and contribute to all aspects of our design and manufacturing process, e.g., Supporting Continual Improvement, etc.
7. Discuss Requirements with Suppliers when required.
Qualifications:
Minimum BSc or BEng in Electronic Engineering or equivalent discipline.
Skills Required:
Essential:
1. Experience in the design and development of power supply / SMPS / power electronics products.
2. Experience of either SMPS or other variants of AC/DC, DC/DC converter design.
3. Experience with analogue and digital circuits for voltage/current regulation.
4. Experience in digital signal processing.
5. Experience in using electronic & 3D Design Packages.
Preferred:
1. Experience in programming micro-controllers.
