We are pleased to announce an exciting opportunity to join Bradford College as a Quality Assurance Team Leader. This position reports to the Learning and Quality Manager and is a key role within the Quality team. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the quality of study programs across the college and will manage a team of Quality Improvement Analysts and Quality Advocates.
Responsibilities include:
* Ensuring overall outstanding quality of provision across curriculum areas through reviewing provision, learning walks, quality interventions, and learner support needs.
* Ensuring that QER-related data sets are provided to curriculum leaders by quarterly deadlines.
* Ensuring curriculum area student satisfaction benchmarks are monitored each year.
* Ensuring equity and diversity are measured within QA processes.
* Carrying out a schedule of internal audits and reviews to ensure compliance and consistency of quality.
* Responsible for the performance, management and development of a team of Quality Improvement Analysts and Quality Advocates, including setting targets, monitoring KPIs and managing performance.
* Ensure that the 16-19 provision within the curriculum area meets the requirements and guidelines for study programmes, including compliance with Maths and English funding and work experience conditions.
* Undertake the duties of an observer and ‘critical friend’ with a caseload of observations and joint lesson observations across varying curriculum areas.
* Liaise with and feedback to Curriculum Area Managers/Heads of School.
* Participate in moderation and standardisation activities to standardise and improve the observation of the LTA process.
* Report on the performance of teaching staff to the relevant managers and pass information to the College’s quality improvement team.
* Ensure full compliance first time with all College procedures and systems and report on these via KPI’s. Ensure appropriate records related to LTA are maintained and available as required by internal management information systems and external audit regimes.
* Monitor the teaching and learning spaces to ensure they provide a suitable safe and secure environment conducive to improving the progress of students, reporting any issues to the appropriate managers.
* Undertake training and CPD to ensure up-to-date knowledge of quality, teaching and learning methodologies.
* Work with Management and the Quality Team in liaising with validating bodies, awarding bodies, exam boards and professional bodies to ensure compliance with curriculum quality requirements.
* Monitor the effective administration of assessment, and internal and external verification for courses and awards across the College.
* To undertake additional duties that may be required commensurate with the level of responsibility of the post.

Education & Training
* GCSE 4 – 9 or equivalent level 2 qualification in Maths and English.
* A degree or appropriate Level 5 professional qualification.
* A recognised teaching qualification (QTLS/QTS is desirable but not essential).
Experience
* Academic experience in Further Education, Higher Education and/or Apprenticeship provision.
* Significant evidence of a successful track record of TLA, including taking an innovative approach to TLA.
* Experience of People Management.
* Experience in carrying out classroom observations to an agreed quality framework.
* Experience of mechanisms used to evaluate the learning experience.
* Experience in liaising with awarding organisations to ensure the College fulfils their requirements.
* Sound knowledge of student pastoral care.
